COVID 19 3dverkstan Face Shield for Printing in Stacks

IMG_3322.jpg

This is a remix of the popular 3dverkstan face shield for COVID-19 (https://3dverkstan.se/protective-visor/protective-visor-versions/).

A member of my Open Source COVID19 Medical Supplies group came up with the original idea and STL files for stacking.

Try the iStack version if you’re having some problems with support/adhesion–it was created by a member of my open source group.

The hollow portion is filled in to allow for multiple units to be printed in a stack. This gives makers a bit more breathing room and downtime instead of needing to constantly run between printers. To save a bit of time and material, I made the top unit in each stack the original design.

The spacing between the units is .25mm, so if you slice with a layer height other than this, it may not work well for you. You’ll want to test out your settings with a smaller stack before going on to larger ones.
