UPDATE 4/2/2020: I have uploaded Medium and Small Size Masks that hold a full-size makeup pad. This allows for maximum airflow and makes it so you don’t need to cut down the filter. You can still scale the design down if you prefer an even look. (Please see instructions in the picture for scaling.) I also added a file with 3 large masks on a single printer bedplate (Ender 3) for printing multiple masks at once
The Goal of this mask is to make a low poly respirator that is stupid simple to print/operate and that uses a readily available/incredibly cheap filter mechanism requiring no cutting of material. (in this case makeup pads)
This mask is a low poly option (Large – 31g, Medium – 26g, Small – 22g filament) that requires no supports, rims or rafts and can be printed at 0% infill. Using minimal filament allows the mask to print much quicker/cheaper in a situation where mass production is necessary.
I know times are tough for some people, but if you are able and would like to contribute to this project my link is: https://paypal.me/MrDWGraf
Thank you so much!
NOTE: The videos are of the original mask but the concept is very similar.
Here’s a link to the original version that is heavier duty. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4245757

How effective are DIY masks –https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/diy-homemade-mask-protect-virus-coronavirus/
This mask is a combination of the Montana and Copper3d Covid masks but is primarily based on the Montana Billings Clinic mask (website below with a good disclaimer that will also apply to this mask) but I wanted to be able to use cotton makeup pads as a filter instead of cutting out something square but the Copper3d was too small to fit a pad in and the screw was too small to get a good grip on. You can use any filtration device you like in there but the pads fit great. No guarantees that this will keep you from getting Covid, but anything should be better than nothing.
