Shudder Horror Streaming Service Offers 30 Free Days for Coronavirus –
The horror streaming service Shudder is offering horror fans a 30-day free trial in light of coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown.
The official Shudder Twitter account invited fans to sign up with the promo code SHUTIN to catch some of the service’s daily #ShudderShutIn picks.

Besides its library of over 500 horror titles — many uncensored and unrated — Shudder also produces original movies and series (Shudder Originals). After the free 30-day trial, Shudder’s monthly subscription price is $4.99.
Some of the titles that horror fans can enjoy are Creepshow, an anthology series of short self-contained episodes, the documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror and Gwen, an Irish horror folk-tale. The Shudder catalog also carries Asian horror titles like Dark Water, Audition and The Mimic.
Since different countries starting implementing increasingly tight measures to contain coronavirus — including home quarantine, social distancing and the closure of public entertainment spaces like movie theaters, concert arenas, and public libraries — many media companies have changed their strategy to reach home-stuck viewers and keep them entertained during the lockdown. Disney + added Frozen 2 to its roster and released Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on digital. Universal also made The Invisible Man, Emma and The Hunt available for sale on digital platforms.
Shudder is part of AMC Networks Inc., which also owns cable channels AMC, IFC, WeTV, BBC America and Sundance TV, as well as streaming services Sundance Now, and film companies IFC Films and RLJE Films. It debuted in the US in 2015 through invite-only, and since 2016 is also available in Canada, the UK and Ireland.
