The Turkish restaurant in Baghdad
Is one of the “main buildings” in the center of the city of Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, which is located in “Bab Al-Sharqi” area, and its name was taken from the Turkish restaurant which used to occupy the upper floors of the building and the rest of the building was a Shopping center for the period 1980-2000, and consists of 14 floors.
In 2001, the (Youth and Sports Authority) took it as its headquarter and after the invasion of Iraq in 2003, the building became deserted, and during the 2019 Iraqi protests, the place became a symbol of demonstrations.
