Flip Forward Sega Game Gear Cartridge Holder – Uses segments of 1.75mm filament as hinge pins

large_preview_20191218_101422.jpg

This is a 3D printed holder for Sega Game Gear Cartridges.

It is designed with hinges at the bottom of the gartrdige holders to allow them to flip forward for browsing through the cartridges without removing any of them from holder.

The holders are designed to showcase the entire artwork on the front of the cartridge.

These are very similar, but not at all compatible with my Nintendo Game Boy and Game Boy Advance cartridge holders.

Most info in that other thing listing applies to this too. The video showing printing and assembly tip mostly applies to this as well.

There is a supported and unsupported cartridge holder – if my built in supports don’t work for you, you can try your own settings in your sliced.

There is a rail to hole 10 cartridges and a rail to hold 20 cartridges. I did a 30 cartridge holder for the Game Boy, but as these cartridges are wider a 30 cartridge holder will not fit on most common 3D printer build plates, so I didn’t do a 30 cartridge version of this.

Also, I have not tested the 20 cartridge version in the real world, but I did test it in my design and I didn’t see any obvious conflicts/problems. So print that at your own risk.

Thanks for looking!
