What caused Koboh’s moon to break apart in Star Wars Jedi Survivor? According the maintenance droids it was something they call the Emergence. In the High Republic era, a group of marauders called the Nihil orchestrated the destruction of a transport ship traveling through hyperspace. Debris from the ship began emerging back to realspace across the Outer Rim, colliding with planetary bodies at devastating speeds. One of those emergences struck Koboh’s moon, shattering it into pieces.
