Map of the Main landmass of my alien planet inhabited by creatures of Earth’s past – April 11, 2023 at 06:03PM

Here’s a bit of lore for the region, hopefully doesn’t sound too boring or not unique enough.

The main landmass (names still WIP) on a planet discovered far off from Earth colonies. While rich in fossil fuels, the planet was deemed very low in value due to the unstable terrain making for little use as a colony planet. However, the planet is interesting in the fact that the life present is not nearly as alien as one might assume.

The Xenofauna greatly resemble animals from earth’s past, many biologist going so far as to say that many of the creatures are indeed of the same genus of their earth counterparts. While it is entirely up to speculation as to how this could have occurred, the planet has become a hot spot for wildlife photographers, hunters supplying fauna for scientific research or looking for trophies, as well as poachers looking to exploit the great wonders of this lost world.

Not only do biologists find a treasure trove in such a lost world, but archaeologists as well. Temples and other abandoned structures litter the surface of the planet. A great mystery begins to unfold as artifacts allow xeno-archaeologists to translate the written language of inhabitants who long since vanished. Few of the new discoveries point to a blight that threatens the planet’s inhabitants…..

Hope you enjoyed or are interested, this project is very much inspired by the Carnivores series, the Hunter Primal, and the Lost World of it were in a more sci-fi style setting.
