It seems that there are so many ways to set up a web map/hosting for clients – I’m much more familiar with Esri products like Web Maps and Web Apps but not as familiar with FOSS alternatives. If a potential client wanted a web map but didn’t have an AGOL subscription, I wouldn’t know how to go about sharing a web map with them (I could set up a WebApp for public viewing, but then I’d start consuming credits on my account which I’d prefer not to do). Curious to hear how people from this community go about this. Do you host your data and websites on your own home server? Use cloud storage like AWS etc? qgis2web? Or have the client set up their own hosting?
I’m trying to dive into the world of FOSS web mapping and new to all of this, any advice/opinions are appreciated!
Thanks,
