I’d like to print off tiles of 3D printed terrain that can be mounted to a board so that I end up with a 3d Printed map of various national parks (or ski hills, provinces, states, countries…) I mention ’tiles’ because I’d like to make them bigger than most 3D printers can handle and stitch them together for decent sized wall art. Any ideas about the best place to get the files from? I have access to Solidworks to help. I downloaded some 3D terrain files a few years ago from somewhere and printed some small prototypes that worked out alright, but I don’t remember where I got them from and also couldn’t get much precision if I wanted to line up adjacent tiles. Bonus: Instead of straight edges, I would like to be able to follow the regions borders, what’s the best way of accomplishing this?
Thanks
