Looking for an IT – asset management tool with a map GUI – July 25, 2022 at 08:59AM

Hi, not completely sure if I’m in the right subreddit but I’m hoping a few professionals here can answer this.

As per title, I’m looking for a tool where we can do our IT asset management in.

Goal is to follow up on stock, and monitor installed hardware.

As we have multiple sites spread out across the country we would love to have the ability to give each piece of hardware a set location, down to the individual desk it’s installed on. Thus if a user calls for support, we immediately know which hardware he has, if it’s under warranty, … All by just opening his “desk” in the tool.

I was thinking about creating an excel with a blueprint of each building, creating desks on scale, and write corresponding serials etc in them but this seems unscaleable / manageable.

Anyone an idea if such a tool with these capabilities exists? I found multiple online but location-wise they lack in manageability. (Fresh service, …)
