FaZe could realistically start in losers and may have to have a tie breaker vs Optic for the 8th seed. there could also be a 4 way tie of teams at a 2-3 series count and the same map count! – July 9, 2022 at 05:00AM

looking at current map counts and records FaZe could start in losers with some funky shit if Florida lose as well.

Heres the easiest outcome with no tie breakers

-ROKKR beat Paris – map count doesn’t matter as they’d be 3-2

-Ultra beat Boston and Optic making Ultra and Boston both 3-2

-Florida beat thieves making them 3-2

-Thieves beat NYSL making them 3-2 while NYSL are 4-1

-London lose or win vs LAG making them 5-0 or 4-1

this puts 7 teams at 3-2 or higher with Paris, LAG, and Optic confirmed losers at 1-4 or 0-5.

the 2 remaining teams would be Seattle and FaZe with a head to head that in any map count with Seattle winning puts them ahead of FaZe at either 10-9, 10-10, or 10-11 map count against FaZe 8-11, 9-11, or 10-11. a 3-2 win for Seattle would put them both at 2-3 with the same map count that I assume Seattle wins outright due to head to head.

There is also a possibility as an Optic fan that we make winners with FaZe STILL making losers, but its much harder, and I think requires us to win 3-0 or 3-1 and maybe 3-2 if we are lucky as hell.

-ROKKR beat Paris – map count doesn’t matter as they’d be 3-2

-Ultra lose to Boston, no map count will matter, Boston would be 4-1

-Florida beat thieves making them 3-2

-Thieves beat NYSL putting NYSL at 4-1 and Thieves at 3-2

-London beat LAG any map count, putting them at 5-0

this currently puts ROKKR, Boston, Florida, Thieves, NYSL, and London in winners leaving 2 spots open at 7th and 8th, with LAG and Paris confirmed 11th and 12th.

now we have 4 teams left Optic at 1-3 with a MC of 7-10, Ultra at 1-3 with a map count ranging from 6-11 to 4-11, Seattle at 1-3 with a map count of 7-9, and FaZe at 2-2 with a map count of 8-8.

now heres the hard part, and I think could make things interesting depending on map count. If Optic win this puts Ultra at 1-4. If Seattle win this puts Seattle, Optic, and FaZe at 2-3 and I dont know how seeding works if map counts differ. here are the scenarios

*Optic 3-0 Ultra MC of 10-10*

*Optic 3-1 Ultra MC of 10-11*

*Optic 3-2 Ultra MC of 10-12*

*Seattle 3-0 FaZe with a MC of 10-9*

*Seattle 3-1 FaZe with a MC of 10-10*

*Seattle 3-2 FaZe with a MC of 10-11*

*FaZe lose 0-3 with a MC of 8-11*

*FaZe lose 1-3 with a MC of 9-11*

*FaZe lose 2-3 with a MC of 10-11*

In the event of a 3-1 Optic win, and a 3-2 Seattle win that puts all 3 teams at a 10-11 MC with Seattle winning the H2H vs FaZe. This is where I don’t know if FaZe or Optic get the 8th seed or if another tie breaker match is in effect. a 3-0 Optic win secures Seattle and Optic the 7th and 8th seed with FaZe at 9th. If Optic win 3-2 and FaZe loses 2-3 I believe Optic get the 9th seed with FaZe at 8th.

Also, this is even crazier, if Florida lose to Thieves 2-3, Optic win 3-1 vs Ultra, and Seattle 3-2 FaZe all 4 teams would be 2-3 series count at a 10-11 map count. At this point I have honestly no clue who gets what seed since the only head to head is Seattle over FaZe.

If any info in wrong, please let me know I’ve been looking at map counts and records and predictions of 12 teams so I could be faded
