We FINALLY Know the Location of Luke’s Jedi Academy! –

The novel Shadow of the Sith finally revealed the location of Luke’s Jedi temple as first seen in The Last Jedi and later in The Book of Boba Fett. It’s on the planet Ossus. While the planet had already been mentioned in some canon stories, setting the Jedi temple there is a much bigger deal for a world that’s been part of Star Wars Legends for nearly three decades. Ossus first appeared in the Tales of the Jedi comics way back in 1994, where it was established as an important world to the ancient Jedi Order. It was home to the Great Jedi Library, and served as the primary headquarters of the Jedi after they left Tython. Their presence was so strong there that some scholars incorrectly believed Ossus was the homeworld of the Jedi. When Luke Skywalker started his New Jedi Order in Legends, he established an academy there, and used it as their headquarters for a time. So it’s very fitting to see such an important planet to the Jedi Order from Legends returning to a place of prominence in Star Wars canon as well.
