When printing the printhead parts I recognized that the design uses the clip on hotend fan design which is the default concept from the manufacturer. But my printer was fitted with a 40×10 axial fan to be more quiet. So I made a custom fan plate to fit the carriage and hold the fan.
It is important to mount this as flat as possible to the carriage, maybe file any thread over stand off. The clearance to the linear bearing is minimal. Enough to not crash but really small 🙂
