There are 2 versions of this, one with AND one without secure tabs. Designed in Fusion and printed with Windows Print 3d using ABS. The rims for both are beveled.
-
Without Tabs – Just press the O into the rim. The rim is beveled and is slight larger then the actual opening causing the plastic to act like a retention spring. This is one of those weird times that the printing layers work in your favor. The micro ridges actually provide traction for the rings. I was surprised out how well they grip. It even holds them in place upside down for ceiling mount. I am not sure how well they will hold up under vibration such as door slamming.
- With the Tabs – This should work great in a camper or RV. You can even roof mount them. The tab is as small as I dared to make it. They simply click in place and feel very secure. Grab the grip and push up on the tab to remove them.
