Helmet holder

helmet-holder

I created a simple headset stand that does just what it should do!

The basic 3D file is large and therefore not suitable for all printers if you want to print it flat but if you have a small helmet as in picture 2 (the “JBL CLUB ONE”) you can reduce the size by 5 to 10%.

If you have a big helmet I strongly advise you to increase the size and if you can’t print lying down print it standing up which can save you several mm.

I also strongly advise you to add a border for the adhesion to the tray or a raft if you print it coated because otherwise you could see your print up on some places which does not look good on the print once finished. But I couldn’t try with these adhesion settings.

For the filling 20% is more than enough!

Photo 2 was taken with the following settings:

-Layer height: 0.28mm

-Board adhesion: no

-Support: no

-Filling: 20%.

-PLA

I will try the following settings and tell you the result:

-Layer height: 0.16mm

-Adherence of the board: Edge

-Support: no

-Filling: 20%.

-PLA

Printing time:

-110%, without adjustment for adhesion, 0.2mm: 13H45

-100%, without adjustment for adhesion, 0.2mm: 11H

-100%, With Edge, 0.2mm: 11H15mins

-95% off, With Raft, 0.2mm: 11H30mins

-110%, without adjustment for adhesion, 0.12mm: 1J2H50mins

-100%, without adjustment for grip, 0.12mm: 21H40mins

-100%, With Edge, 0.12mm: 21H55mins

-95%, With Raft, 0.12mm: 21H
