Falcon Flyer (Super Smash Bros Brawl)

large_preview_IMG_20200102_145205.jpg

Captain Falcon’s Falcon Flyer from Super Smash Bros Brawl. I downloaded the base model (ripped from the trophy in the game) from the first site below, or perhaps the second site, or a different site altogether—I can’t remember:

I redid the plumes coming out the rear; shortening them, thickening their pointed tips, and connecting discontinuities.

I printed it by cutting the model in half and printing the front and rear sections separately. I cut a cylinder out from the middle of each half so that a printed rod could be inserted between the two halves when gluing together for strength and alignment.

Provided are the .stl files of the two halves with no holes cut in them. There are also the .3mf project files for PrusaSlicer. These have cylinder modifiers for cutting 10mm holes for the connecting rod, as well as 4.2mm holes for placing Donkey Kong and Pikachu if you are making my larger Smash Bros Big Blue assembly (if you are printing the Falcon Flyer to stand alone, delete these). The rear half also has the necessary support enforcers. Finally, an .stl of the connecting rod for gluing the two halves together is provided. You’ll likely need to sand it down after printing for it to fit at the current dimensions.
