Phone Stand

The purpose of my design is to make virtual learning easier by having somewhere to prop your phone up. As we know, online learning consists of a lot of zoom calls where we have to show our faces. We spend time trying to make makeshift stands for our phones and iPads that we can use doing classwork. This phone stand is designed to make propping your phone up for calls easier.

I didn’t really have a lot of issues when creating my design. The only things were making sure all of the letters in my name line up on the front of the stand and that the slot for my phone was tilted back enough without creating a hole in the front of the stand.

If I could redesign the phone stand, I think I would try to make it less bulky and maybe make it big enough for an iPad, because I use my iPad a lot for school.

3D printing would help strengthen my design, because once the stand is printed, I will be able to tell if the position of the phone slot needs to be adjusted, if the stand is heavy enough to hold my phone in place.
