Expanding on the earlier set with the Volcanius Ember Swords and Forge (https://www.patreon.com/posts/34193982), here’s an upgraded set with a backpack! The backpack helps to peg the swords on Volcanicus’ back and also gives Grimlock a nifty flight mode!
These oversized flaming blades can be wielded by Grimlock in any manner – each bringing an awesome presence to the figure
The backpack also comes in handy for giving Grimlock the ability of flight in his dinosaur mode. Just the single lower part of the backpack is needed for this, attacking the Grimlock’s back on his two square ports. The upper piece can be slotted on top using the rectangular peg.
With the backpack in place, the twin swords can be attached horizontally to give him wings! And the back piece which the backpack attaches to can be swivelled up or down too, so there is some pose-ability there.
===
Coming to the combined Volcanicus mode is where things get fun too when you get to pose him with these giant blades:
To store the swords on the back of Volcanicus, flip the upper part of the backpack around, and clip it to the underside of the other piece. The two “fins” can then be pegged into the back of Volcanicus.

Here’s a short video showing the assembly for both modes to give a better idea of things – https://youtu.be/HOYFV-TaVRI
Do take note to be careful with printing and handling the handle of the sword as that may snap off easily if printed vertically. Also a tad of sanding may be needed to get things to fit just nicely without being to tight.

Hope everyone enjoys 3d printing this one too then. Have fun with this bad boy! =)
