Industar-61 has been manufactured for about 40 years, and various versions exist. Despite the similar appearance, the optical focal lengths such as 50mm, 52mm, and 55mm are also slightly different. This custom lens housing has not been tested for the possibility of mounting on other versions of Industar-61 lenses of similar appearance.

The Industar-61 is one of the cheapest vintage lenses. (There are various evaluations of this lens.) I think, “There is no lens that is bad in this world,” so I would like to say that this lens is also a lens with a unique charm. Of course, I don’t use it often and always stay in the corner of the showcase, so in most cases I even forget its existence. One of the main elements that I don’t use often is a compact and lightweight lens, but the structure is very inconvenient to operate. The focus ring is too close to the rear of the lens to be difficult to manipulate, and the front aperture ring is also very small, which is inconvenient. It’s made entirely of the space-age wonder metal, aluminum and the aluminum is easily deformed by light impact. I thought about making this lens a re-housing design that compensates for the drawbacks caused by the old-fashioned appearance.

Designed to be secured with grub screws (M4 x 4mm) to prevent the housing from being incompletely mounted due to 3D printing material issues. In addition, the front filter adapter (40.5mm step-up ring) also serves to secure the housing front element.
