Adaptor for TronXY X5S/CR10S with Micro-Swiss all-metal hotend

I bought a TronXY X5S because it would allow me to print life-sized helmets and other large objects in one go. I also understood that to get the best out of it I’d have to do some upgrades.

One of these was the Micro-Swiss all-metal hotend kit.

This greatly increased the smoothness of the filament flow compared to the standard head. However, after a while, the Bowden tube kept popping out of the top, as the clip that holds it in isn’t terribly strong.

So I’ve made an adaptor that takes on one end a standard collet(?) into which the tube securely attaches, and on the other end a small piece of the same feed tubing to encourage the filament into the actual hotend.

As you can see from the photo’s this attaches to the screws holding the end-link of the chain through which the wiring passes, which is quite handy and keeps it directly above where it needs to be.

I hope some of you find this useful 🙂
