Working on organizing my 3d printing farm and upgrading to new Prusa MK3S printers… loved the way they hung their 2k spools but my filament maker Push Plastics offers 3kg. Larger is always better right? Well… needed a nice way to organize the spools to keep them up and usable.
Designed this to mount using (4) 1/4-20 40mm long screws with washers and nuts.
Then the main part is a cheap utility hanger available at most box stores. I picked mine up here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-9-in-Vinyl-Coated-Screw-In-Heavy-Duty-Steel-Scew-In-Utility-Hanger-in-Black-50-lbs-18014/202305457
Take the utility hanger, cut off the screw part using a dremel. Insert the short horizontal part into the Block.stl after you’ve printed.
Also added a reverse bowden tube onto the top of my Prusa’s to handle the sharp turn the filament makes towards the top of the printer.
