Covid-19 PPE Face Shield Visor

large_preview_Cool_Habbi-Tumelo_2.png

This is a redesign of a visor uploaded by a French gentleman by the name Thomas. Unfortunately I can no longer find the original source of username for appropriate accreditation. After contact he expressed total freedom to modify and use.

Intention: a 3D printed face shield / visor clip – to allow rapid production

Modifications to original:

Thinner to reduce build time

Shorter clips to reduce material usage

Size adjustment to allow 2 units to be printed at same tme (on ender 3)

Height reduced – reducing build time, test your setting ensure they are ridged enough.

Clips are rounded to reduce chance of scratching or discomfort

minor reinforcements at high stress areas

can be stack more easily.

We’ve been printing these at 2 (a pair) per 1 hour print time. This is achieved with 5% infill, printing speed 100 to 120 mm, layer hight 0.3 and extruder temps of 245 to 250 using PLA.

If the layers do not bind well this is a limitation of the material and only way to overcome is reduce print speed. Some of our ABS wont go above 40mm!

All the best out there!
