How to add points to base map in Arcmap – April 13, 2023 at 04:49PM

Hello,

I am making a map that shows extraterrestrial impact sites in all continents. I turn all coordinates into decimal degrees on excel.

In arcmap, I added a base map. For some reason when i add the points it doesn’t work. A point appears only in the middle of the base map but not that location of each impact.

What am I doing wrong ? I also have zero idea what coordination system it should be in.

edit: I figure it out. I wasn’t in the right coordinate system for the points. Now i just have to figure which coordinate system for each continent
