Best way to make a map image of a particular region? – April 7, 2023 at 07:26PM

Hello, I’m curious if anyone in this community can help me. I want to make an image (jpeg or whatever) of a particular region. I want to be able to zoom/crop to my exact requirements. I’d like it to be a political map with colors to distinguish countries.

I’ve tried just screen-shotting sections from a world map, but usually it never comes out very good. I’d like more control and the ability to have a higher resolution snapshot of a given area.

Are there any tools you would recommend for this?

Note that I do not want to manually label or color countries.
