Can I partition or map a USB port on a laptop to be recognized by other devices as a USB drive? – March 14, 2023 at 11:19AM

I work with equipment that collects data 24/7 and the only way to retrieve the data is by downloading the data from the collector to a USB drive. I’d like to forego the USB drive and just plug a male USB-A to male USB-A from the collector to my laptop and download it direct. Only problem is that the collector does not recognize my USB port as a USB storage device.

Is there any way to map my USB port as a virtual USB drive?
