I have a historic map of a local area that I would like to share so that other users can navigate it in real time on their mobile device. Is there any platform that permits this?
The Google workflow seems to be 1) geolocate the image on Google Earth Pro app 2) export the .KML containing the image link 3) import that .KML to MyMaps.
When importing to MyMaps, it says “1 row couldn’t be shown on map”. The little documentation I’ve found suggests Google doesn’t support images on anything sharable.
Does anyone know of a solution (e.g. Microsoft, ARCGIS, OpenStreetMaps) that can make this happen?
