Mythosaurs – Everything You NEED to Know in Under a Minute! –
What do we know about mythosaurs? Honestly…not a ton. The massive creature’s brief appearance in the latest episode of The Mandalorian is only the second time we’ve ever seen one alive. Mythosaur bones first appeared in a 1982 comic book as part of an amusement park ride on Mandalore, of all places. Their first living picture was released in a 2013 reference book called The Bounty Hunter Code, and its depiction differs from what we have now seen in the live action series. Star Wars Legends says the Taung species, who eventually created Mandalorian culture as we know it, drove the mythosaur to extinction when they first settled on the planet Mandalore. But Bo-Katan tells a different version of the myth in the Mines of Mandalore. She says the mythosaurs were first tamed and ridden by Mandalore the Great, a story that Kuill also reiterated to Din Djarin back in the first episode of the series.
