I have to create a land use report for our agency every year that goes to federal and state organizations. Our field guys have to use Collector or Field maps to note land use change (fallow -> oranges, idle -> subdivision, etc.). They put in the edits in offline mode using a shared Esri field license, and then sync. I take all of edits and merge them to a new layer each year to write the report.
My first year, I was terrible at web GIS. I was fresh out of college with zero AGOL coursework, and no supervisors. I made some buggy web maps on the fly for this project and some of the field guys hated them. I believe some just flat out refused to make edits going forward.
Four years later, I notified a manager that some areas had no edits for 2022, when it is obvious from new imagery that a lot has changed. I believe management is not a fan of this employee in general, and is looking for any excuse for discipline.
TL:DR – I’m not confident in my early web maps. The ones used for the last two years have been practically flawless. I have attached paper documentation on how to use them. How should I respond to allegations that will likely end in staff discipline?
