Extensive recommendations map of Amsterdam by ASF28 – February 16, 2023 at 09:34AM

As a proud Amsterdam native, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to explore this vibrant city. That’s why I’ve gone ahead and created an extensive list of recommendations and activities that both visitors and locals can enjoy. Having spent the last few years studying abroad, I’ve had countless friends ask for my go-to spots in Amsterdam, so I’ve compiled all of them in one convenient map. For added convenience, I’ve marked certain options with stars to indicate my highest recommendations.

Believe me when I say that putting together this map was no easy feat. I poured countless hours into it, and it truly was a labor of love. I was determined to make sure that the map included all of the must-see attractions and worthwhile experiences, while steering clear of the tourist traps and overhyped spots (such as the Ice Bar and Madame Tussaud’s). Admittedly, some of the things on my list may still be considered touristy, but I included them because some of my friends actually enjoyed them.

The result is a comprehensive list of sights, restaurants, and activities that I could recommend to anyone. But what sets my map apart is that it’s not just tailored for tourists – I’ve also designed it with locals and myself in mind. I’ve included multiple options for each category, such as coffee shops, lunch spots, restaurants, bars and many more. That way, you can easily find an amazing spot no matter where you are in the city. For example, if you’re headed to the WONDR experience, you can easily combine it with a visit to the Beef Chief or Coba for some delicious food, followed by a refreshing beer at either Oedipus or Walhalla.

Overall, my map is the ultimate guide to experiencing the best of Amsterdam. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, you’ll find plenty of amazing things to see and do.
