Rental Cars with Screen for Map? – February 7, 2023 at 09:25PM

Potentially a very stupid question, but how new are most of the rental cars? I’ll be renting a car while here and want to use google maps on my phone for directions while I drive. Obviously I don’t want to hold my phone while driving as it’s dangerous and I’ve heard it’s super common that cops will pull you over for this if they see you. Will my rental car have bluetooth or a usb connection to display the map on a screen like most cars these days or will they generally be older models without this feature?

I have a dashboard mount to put my phone on which would still be hands free but I’m worried I’ll look like an uber driver if I do that and definitely don’t want to risk being misidentified as one given all the tension with taxi drivers right now. Thoughts?
