Games Week Map – February 3, 2023 at 09:40AM

In addition to the museum map, I had the chance to create the promotional poster for this 2022 Games Week.

Game Week is held annually in November to celebrate and promote game education and game culture. It’s mostly a Nordic thing as far as I know, but it’s part of the International Games Month event.

The event is coordinated by KAVI, Finnish National Audiovisual Institute, and last year they wanted to have a map-themed poster for their promotional materials. I naturally had to jump at that, and the result can be seen below!

Game Week celebrates all kinds of games and gamers, so I tried to include references to board games, video games and RPG’s alike.

This is one of the rare occasions when it’s a bit of a bummer that I don’t live in Finland anymore – I didn’t get to see my map posted around libraries to advertise all their cool game themed events!
