Why Did the Bad Batch Have to Survive Booby Traps INSIDE a Machine? by Star Wars Explained

Why Did the Bad Batch Have to Survive Booby Traps INSIDE a Machine? –

The most recent episode of The Bad Batch saw Clone Force 99 on a treasure hunt, outwitting various puzzles and booby traps inside a mountain, only to discover the treasure they sought activated a giant, walking, mechanized weapon. But why were there traps installed *inside* the mech? I’ve seen that question pop up a few times, and my understanding is that the traps were not built as part of the mech itself. They were built to keep people *out* of it. The secret entrance to the mountain, the puzzle right inside, and the rotating pit trap were all created by whoever originally hid the weapon to *stop* people from *re*activating it. The Bad Batch weren’t inside the mech until they reached the final door, which Phee describes as “just a door.” There was no trap there, because it was simply the entryway into the machine.
