San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance participated in the 134th Rose Parade! –

Another year, another milestone 🌹

San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance participated in the 134th Rose Parade and took home the Animation Award for most outstanding use of animatronics. The float’s theme celebrated 50 years of conservation at the Safari Park and featured some familiar faces including Neville the southern white rhino calf and Msituni the giraffe.

The Safari Park opened its doors in 1972 with a focus on saving endangered species around the world and connecting people to wildlife. Taking part in the Rose Parade allowed SDZWA to bring the life-changing moments that happen at the Park everyday to global audiences and served as a symbol of hope for the future of our planet.
