How to create a map with labels only? – December 31, 2022 at 04:15PM

What I want to do: create a map with edited names of regions/cities/streets/etc and create website with it.

What I came up with: take a basemap without labels (like map “CartoDB.DarkMatterNoLabels” here) and put a layer with labels on it (with transparent background). But I can’t figure out how to make a map with labels only.

Yes, I can do (and I did) a regular tile server, change the data in the DB, but it takes a lot of space for a big country.
