It’s Here – 2022 Phoenix Area Holiday Lights Google Map – December 7, 2022 at 03:09PM

Hello! You may know me from my previous posts about creating a Google Map for Holiday Light displays across the valley. My father has dementia, and I have been taking him out to view lights for the last couple of seasons as a way of keeping him entertained and cheered. My dad is in the final stage of dementia and no longer lives at home, but still really enjoys going to see lights; however, this is probably the last year he will be with us, and may be the last year for my map.

But, as promised, I have finished updating last year’s map for 2022! At this time, there are 162 entries, up from around 130 last year.

2022 Phoenix Holiday Lights Map (Google Maps)

Some of those are larger ticketed attractions built around lights, but good for an evening stroll or a drive through with a carload of kids, such as the World of Illumination lights and some of the larger farm events. I also deleted about two dozen submissions from last year that I could not verify this year.

Sources include: AZCentral, Phoenix New Times, Gilbert Holiday Lights Map, AZ 15 map, and Google (research). I found a few maps (looking at you phoenixwithkids) that pretty much copied my previous years maps, right up to the notes on each submission, so I did not use those as I don’t think they verified data for 2022. Note that many of these submissions are self-submitted, so if they don’t have a lot of details, they may range from amazing to meh in quality. YMMV!

I continue to welcome user submissions! Addresses or neighborhoods, please be as specific as you can in location, details, and any other info you may have such as websites or hours.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
