This is a “scroll case” I made to transport larger sheets of paper up to DIN A2 format (in my case maps or drawing paper for tabletop roleplaying) or basically anything you can put inside a long tube.
It is meant to be held together with an up to 1″ wide and 1-2mm thick luggage strap, but at least in my print the fit was so perfect that that wasn’t even necessary. YMMV.
Each scroll case consists of two parts:
sc_i_XXmm with the inner part of the connection (“plug”)
sc_o_XXnn with the outer part of the connection (“socket”)
There are two versions:
The first version I made has a 45mm barrel (outer diameter) and also comes with thinner strap slits (27x2mm)
The second version has a larger barrel of 60mm (for more or thicker paper) and also larger slits for the straps (27×3,5mm).
Wall width is 5mm for both.
An extension barrel would easily be possible (to get up to DIN A1 or other larger formats),but I currently don’t need one myself yet, so I’m not doing it currently.
Pictures are of the 45mm version and with DIN A3 paper .
