Map Changing Games discussion thread – October 14, 2022 at 05:24PM

Hey everyone,

I’m getting reports from folks who are tired of seeing “top comment gets to change this map (day 1)” posts. I do see these quite a bit, and I’ll be honest, they do start to look the same.

One user did point my attention to r/removeonethingeachday , which is a smaller subreddit, but may be a better fit for these kinds of posts. While it is small right now, I think if we sent them some spillover, we may lift them up to be a top notch subreddit.

That said, my goal is to keep a fun community with a feeling of freedom and chaos that circlejerks crave. I also note that it’s not often that I see these posts get high on our front page, so I tend not to worry too much if a post has 5 upvotes and dies in new.

For those who may remember, we had people upset about people posting pictures of their dog shit that looked like Cuba and wanted us to crack down on them. We ultimately decided to leave them alone, and those posts eventually died of natural causes made their way to a farm upstate.

Here’s the poll, do keep in mind I’m only using this to get the sentiment of the sub, and I will be making an independent decision at the end.
