Let Go of Judgment and Come Unto Him │ #SlowArt –
Take a moment to relax and look closely and slowly at works of art from Latter-day Saints around the world from the 12th International Art Competition. Here is video 3 of 8 on the theme “All Beggars.”
About the Artwork
“He That Is Without Sin” by Mikayla Hearty (Canada)
With reference to the woman brought to be stoned for her mistakes under the law of Moses, a tufted rug rises, a gradient of earth brown to deep red. The stones fall on the ground referencing the dropped stones of the accusers who now judge themselves. Five wounds pierce the rug, referencing the Crucifixion, and the blood that was spilled on behalf of the woman and all mankind.
“We are all fallen, yet loved and buoyed up— called to put down our offenses toward one another, our accusations, our judgments, and to come unto Him.” —Mikayla Hearty
