iss067m261791044 Expedition 67 NG 17 Release 220628 –
The unpiloted Northrop Grumman CRS-17 Cygnus cargo spacecraft was released from the nadir port of the Unity Module of the International Space Station June 28 by flight controllers on the ground in Houston, Texas. NG-17 launched February 19 on an Antares rocket from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, beginning a two-day flight to the International Space Station delivering about 8,300 pounds of research, hardware, and science experiments to the microgravity laboratory. Following a June 29 deorbit engine firing, Cygnus will begin a destructive re-entry in which the spacecraft, filled with trash, will burn up in Earth’s atmosphere.
