After explaining how the lightsaber umbrella thing from Star Wars: Visions worked, I had a lot of people asking me to do Inquisitor lightsabers next. Specifically, how are they able to fly? According to the reference book The Lightsaber Collection, the hilts of an Inquisitor’s lightsaber included micro repulsorlifts. The spinning of the blade combined with the repulsorlifts allowed the weapon to lift its wielder off the ground. According to a roleplaying sourcebook called Dawn of Rebellion, only Force-sensitives were able to do this. Are the helicopter lightsabers still goofy as hell? One hundred percent. But that’s how they work!
