So, I’ve never actually done the online forum thing before- but I have started branching out from my GIS (geographic Information Science) background into the world of D&D, map-making, and world making. So, I’m pretty interested in seeing this Cartographer’s Guild forum works.
I’m also joining my first D&D campaign for the first time and so I’m using what I learned in my Masters program to help me make fantasy maps, which I think is improving me overall as a map maker. I also have an interest in programing with Python so I have ideas on how to make the map generation process merge art and science a bit more.
My software of choice is currently ArcGIS Pro as well as GIMP for working symbology (so far). Also, Stumbleduck refers to my D&D character- gnome rogue (CN).
Thanks for making this space!
Cheers
