Happy Halloween! Did you know that Grand Moff Tarkin created a Frankenstein type monster, a combination of several different species? It was created for war, but it escaped the lab and hunted Tarkin down on a star destroyer. The Grand Moff abandoned the ship, disabled the escape pods, and sabotaged the reactor, hoping to destroy his creation along with all witnesses on board. The creature saved as many lives as he could, escorting them to a pod, which he then freed through his own brute strength. His sacrifice led to the defection of at least one Imperial officer, ensuring that the story would live on.
