Did you know that one of the first names George Lucas ever wrote down for the story that would eventually become Star Wars was Mace Windy? One of his first ideas began, “Journal of the Whills Part One. This is the story of Mace Windy, a revered Jedi Bendo of the Ophuchi, as related to us by CJ Thorpe, Padawan learner to the famed Jedi.” Obviously those concepts were abandoned for the original trilogy, but would once again see the light of day in The Phantom Menace.
