As title states, coming into this with no background or experience, but I’m looking at talking the wife into a 3d printer for Christmas.
Starter usage would be rpg minis, small toys for my son, knickknacks/decor just all around standard geek stuff. Hopefully moving on to bigger pieces eventually with an eventual goal of cosplay pieces and armor.
I am trying to decide what printer to get. From what I’ve been reading the ender 5 pro is a popular recommendation, but I’m worried about the setup/modification needs, and general learning curve difficulty level. So I have been considering the Monopixel Voxel (is that the same as the Flashforge Adventurer, I feel like I read that somewhere).
I understand the MP is not the quality of the Ender, but am I going to be able to get the ender working and usable while balancing a 55 hour work week, a 2 yr old son, and keeping my wife happy, or should I get the relatively plug and play MP and just enjoy what I can of it?
Sub $500 is my price range, so I know I’ll be in entry level territory either way. I am trying to temper my expectations.
Thanks for your time folks.
MODS- I am sorry I could not find the sticky post this may belong under as it is kind of a purchase recommendation post
