Map of the United States of America, with the various States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) as puzzle pieces.

The puzzle is set within a frame, which holds the pieces together nicely when in place and also acts as an aid to puzzle piece location. I laser cut (frame layer) and glue a piece of cardboard underneath to hold the puzzle frame together and make the puzzle portable. The smaller States have been grouped with a larger State, or together, as they are too small on their own as suitable puzzle pieces.

The file consists of various layers. The State names are grouped with the boundary lines (marked as red lines) of the smaller States – this layer needs to be engraved first, before the State boundary layer, country boundary layer, and frame layer can be laser cut together.
