Very slowly starting a 3rd army (Grey Knights) and I want to make them somewhat Doom Slayer themed. One of my ideas to do this was to make their blades look like the Crucible/Argent weapons IE transparent red. I’m wondering if it’d be easier to pour clear resin into a mold or to 3D print a clear blade/weapon. I’m also wondering if it’d be easier to add a tinge of red to the clear resin/printing using a slightly red clear resin vs painting directly on a clear resin and not making it too opaque.
I’m kinda on the fence about buying a 3D printer and this would give me an excuse to buy one (I’ve got some bits I’d like to make for my Marines and Sisters) but wasn’t sure casting a mold would be better than printing in this case
