Rotating Desk Organizer

This desk organizer is designed to organize items with an interesting and efficient design. I created this because you always need certain things but they never seem to be where you’ve placed them. Especially for virtual students, items get lost all the time and they aren’t there when you need them. This aims to alleviate some of the problems of a virtual student in a cool, modern way.

Some issues I had were the fact that I wasn’t able to 3D print it and therefore will have to hope that the design will work as intended. In addition, I wasn’t sure about how strong the plastic is as I have not had much experience with 3D printing. Measurements were definitely a problem also as a result of not enough experience. In theory, the design should fit together but realistically, some parts may be printed too big or too small and that may cause issues for the fits.

If I could redesign it, I would most likely shrink down the size as it currently is over a foot long. In addition, I would add more insertable modules and possibly some for the half-sections of the build.

3D printing allows my design to be built stronger, lighter, and possibly cheaper than other materials. It also allows the modular design to be possible, only printing out the ones that you want. If someone has a printer at home, they could print it out in their house without having to go to the store to buy a design.

P.S. The single roller is designed as a replacement. You do not need to print it.
