Here is a bookmark I designed and printed for a friend not too long ago. I originally customized this with their name on it, but I have uploaded a blank and a “name” example on here for the Student Design Challenge.
This bookmark is useful for keeping track of which page you left off on a book, and is in the form of a robot, which could interest anyone who likes Robotics, particularly FIRST. It’s a simple design, and it should be thick enough to work properly.
When I designed this, I had to make sure some of the details were large enough to print properly, because my printer had issues on some of the details of my prototypes. I also had to make sure it was thick enough to function properly.
If I could redesign this, I might make more use of the space in between, like adding a ruler or a guide of some sort.
3D printing could make it possible for this bookmark to be custom-tailored to anyone, like embossing their name.
