I designed this 3D printed accessory that I call steering assembly for RC cars.
This 3D accessory is based on a similar rc accessory that is out there already.
I wanted to see if I can make my own version of this product for my
Traxxas 4 Tec 2.0, since I have a micro Servo that I salvaged from another
rc vehicle from years ago. So I decided to go ahead and design and 3D print
my own version of this rc accessory, and I did so and I was successful with
that as you seen in the photos. If you wish to download this file depending upon
your 3D printer in your skill level with one set your 3D printer according.
After you’re done with that you will need a dremel power tool or something
similar to it, some sandpaper, some super glue, and a micro servo as you see
here in the photos it does not have to be the exact one I show you here in
the photos. I must advise you to use your Dremel power tool or something
similar to it along with the right drill bit and remove any excess material
as a result of the 3D printing process, on both of those rods, so you will
be able to rotate that rod without any friction once it is assemble,
you also will need a screws 3 mm of the right length, and you will need two
screws of the right length to fit in the micro servo and the photo should
give you an idea how to assemble everything along with a cad file showing
this 3D printed accessory Assemble how everything is put together, study well
before you decide to undertake this project. After that you’re going to have
to figure out how you going to install this 3D printed accessory on your
RC vehicle, so enjoy.
