Hello,
when I designed the Z40 some players remarked to me and rightly so that the handle was too horizontal … so I redesigned a little bit the thing I called the Z45.
As always it is forbidden to sell under penalty of criminal prosecution. I share my work as a passionate person for free.
List of improvements:
-
More vertical handle
-
Reduction of the space between barrel and body
-
Addition of a 42mm barrel for larger grenades
-
Trigger improvement: Wider support, reinforcement and longer percussion stroke.
-
Increased trigger space in the body.
-
The Lock has a pin for the spring to facilitate mounting.

Editing tip video :
Materials required:
2 x 4x40 countersunk head bolts
1 countersunk head bolt 4x40 recut at 33mm.
2 compression springs approx. 6 mm in diameter and 25mm long.
Printing tips:
The print media option must be activated with an edge or raft.
Print the barrel vertically with the entrance upwards to get a good finish of the grenade base notch and activate the support option everywhere. Fill rate 20% minimum.
Left and right sides must be printed on the inside of the tray with the option of a full-colour backing. 20% minimum fill rate.
Lock must be positioned on one side with support option everywhere. 100% fill rate.
Trigger must be printed with the rounded edges to the tray with the option of support everywhere. 100% fill rate.
Mounting instructions :
-Insert the springs into the recesses provided for this purpose and apply a dot of glue (I used a glue gun) only at the end of the body and not on the triggertail or lock side.
-For the axis of the trigger pin, I fixed a steel nail of diameter=1.5mm and then cut it to 16mm long.
Assemble the left and right side with the 4x40 bolts in the 2 holes closest to the barrel.
The one on 4x33 has the stock part fixed.
Last trick: heat the nuts with a lighter so that they do not protrude and at the same time they will be glued.

Video editing tip:
Materials required:
2 4×40 countersunk head bolts
1 4×40 countersunk head bolt cut to 33mm.
2 compression springs about 6mm in diameter and 25mm long.
Printing tips:
The print media option must be enabled with an edge or raft.
Print the barrel in the vertical direction with the entry upwards to have a good finish of the notch of the base of the grenade and activate the support option everywhere. Fill rate 20% minimum.
Left and right parts must be printed on the inside side on the tray with support option everywhere. Minimum filling rate 20%.
The Lock must be positioned on one side with support option everywhere. 100% filling rate.
The trigger must be printed with the rounding towards the tray with support option everywhere. 100% filling rate.
Assembly advice:
-Insert the springs in the recesses provided for this purpose and put a point of glue (I made with a glue gun) only at the end on the body side and not on the side of the trigger or lock tail.
-For the axis of the trigger tail, I fixed a steel nail of diameter = 1.5mm and then cut to 16mm long.
Assemble the left and right side using the 4×40 bolts in the 2 holes closest to the barrel.
That of 4×33 fixes the stick part.
Last tip heat with a lighter the nuts so that they do not protrude and at the same time they will be glued.
